3 Ways Bruce Lee’s Life Philosophy Can Impact Personal Development
What can Bruce Lee Tell Us About Our Personal Journey
There are a lot of models in which you can live your life. There are those that lean towards anarchy, those that depend on discipline, and millions that are
confused as to how to get going in all aspects of life. Whether it’s in regards to your career choices, your personal relationships, or just about anything that you can think of, there are lot of hurdles that are going to come down the line. The older that you get, the more complex some of these things can become. One person that knew about this and in many ways still lives on in legacy is Bruce Lee. Through his life and his philosophy an impact has been made that reverberates until today. Legendary status is what many perceive Lee’s thoughts on life, love, and more. There are several ways that his philosophy can help impact your personal development and it’s not all about fist fighting or kung fu. Consider the following examples.
Did you know that the law of attraction is always working? It’s like gravity – whatever comes up, must come down. So, how do the law of attraction books really work? Read on to find out:
The Law Of Attraction Explained
Imagine the mind is a circle(see picture). Now imagine there is a smaller circle below it. The smaller circle represents your body. Your body is as molecular structure – it is a massive energy and a very high speed of vibration. If you looked at yourself through a microscope you would see all of that energy moving. Even when you die, the body does not stop moving. Essentially, how you use your mind ultimately dictates the “vibration” you’re in.
Now imagine there is an imaginary line running across the large circle that is your “mind.” This line represents what separates the conscious mind, and the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind has been programmed throughout your life. As a baby, because you don’t know anything, your subconscious mind stays wide open and everything you experience enters it. These experiences/things happening around you, or the “energy” around you creates what is known as a paradigm.
Know Is Not Enough, We Must Apply. Willing Is Not Enough, We Must Do
Here is the first thing that you can learn right now, and it’s simple. Take your education to task. You can spend years in college and at the end, have nothing to show. But what good are all the classes you’ve just taken? How do you apply them? Lee speaks about this in terms of action. In the course of the standard 4 year degree, students forget that they have mastered several levels of basic skills and expert level status in many arenas. Math, science, literature, and much more can help you land that dream job, if you apply certain actions. Millions are willing to do the work, but how many put in the hours to get it done? Think about that.
Do Not Pray For An Easy Life, Pray For The Strength To Endure A Difficult One
No matter what you do in life. From having children to reaching for the proverbial brass ring in a career, you will have to face off with difficult tasks. Some are harder than others. Why pray for an easy route? The harder the route, the more fulfilled and accomplished you will feel. Lee’s philosophy here is illustrated through his rigorous work out routines. Even when he felt that he’d done all he could, he’d find something new to focus on. Evolution in your life is important, and sometimes that means making things a bit harder so that you can learn from the journey.
Always Be Yourself, Express Yourself, Have Faith In Yourself, Do Not Go Out and Look For A Successful Personality and Duplicate It
This is by far the hardest one to really fit into the notion of impact. Lee here is not saying that you shouldn’t follow others, but rather to make sure that you know your strengths. Everyone has strengths. Everyone has gifts. Find your gift that love, the passion, and then chase it with the right dedication. For instance, if you want to master art. Take a drawing class, and draw, just draw. Progression in all things is a matter of time and practice. If you put in 10,000 hours into drawing, no matter how bad you are at the first stage, you will master the concepts you seek. No one spends 10,000 hours practicing, and is awful at the end result. Lee would go on to state, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times”. Think about that as you pursue anything in this life. 10,000 hours is a lot, but if you move towards expressing your talents and shifting to your own confidence, you will gain the world you seek. Test this. You can’t fail.
